“Spring is Here” is an original design loosely based on the fairytale “Goldilocks and the Three Bears” and my farm in the Spring. The lighted egg opens in two places. When the roof is lifted via the weathervane the upper bedroom floor is revealed. When the midsection is opened by pulling the chimney backwards the entire upper portion lifts up to reveal the lower kitchen level. Literally everything was made by hand except the following items: doorknob, bell, hinges, small basket, “trout” weathervane(repainted) and butterflies(repainted). This egg took almost a year to make since all the components were handmade from scratch.
